Single-nanoscale materials and their devices
When materials are well built at the atomic scale, many interesting functions in physics, chemistry, and electronics can be exploited. In Majima laboratory, we are studying to create useful electronic functional device such as ultrafast transistors, gas sensors, DNA sequencers, spin devices, and ferroelectric memories by building extreme nanomaterials controlled at the atomic scale using state-of- the-art electron beam lithography (EBL) and unique electroless gold plating (ELGP).
